Summary:
Serves as pantry (Salad Person) for the community association (Association) Timbers Restaurant at Sun City Roseville. Responsibilities include the preparation of food in accordance with established recipes and industry standards for the Food & Beverage Department.

Essential Functions:
Prepares salads, cocktails canap s, and other cold dishes usually before lunch or dinner time, and give them to server to serve during meals: makes sandwiches on short order or in quantities; slices cold meats and cheeses to portions, make desserts and side dishes.
Makes sandwiches, Hot Dog, etc.
Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen at all times. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulation. Maintains the highest sanitary standards.
Daily inventory control of daily prep list and quantity i.e. salads, tuna, condiments.
Maintain and make dessert on daily basis as well as help with banquet preparation.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Other duties as required.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Graduate of an accredited culinary institute preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Basic hand-eye coordination skills. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Internet and email. Average knowledge of industrial equipment including range, ovens, slicer, deep fryer and grill.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBIITIES: None



WORKING CONDITIONS:
Able to stand for long periods of time in both inside temperature controlled environment, inside elements in an uncontrolled temperature with varied lighting and occasional outside exposure to wind, rain, cold extreme heat and humidity. Able to kneel, stoop, bend, push, pull, reach, lift, carry and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.


MINIMUM Qualifications:

Degree from Culinary Institute or combination of education and experience.
2 years previously cold food experience.
Basic cooking skills and knife proficiency.
Serve safe certified.

NORMAL WORKING HOURS and DAYS: Full-time Day Shift. Hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Days vary including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays. 30 minute meal break; overtime as required.
